Heavenly Father in the Mighty Name of Jesus, We come before your mercy seat this day through the shed blood of your Son Jesus Christ, who is The Lamb of God that takes away all the sins of this world. We boldly come before your throne pleading on behalf of the people and nation of Australia, for You alone who created this beautiful and bountiful land of Australia, where it’s golden soil and wealth for toil; is so rich and rare. Yes, this land that is surrounded by seas and oceans, is in need of your mercy today Lord. You who hold the stars in the palm of your hands, in which includes the radiant southern cross that this nation sits Beneath. You who cares and loves everyone that lives within this land of Australia from all races and people groups, You who commands the weather and the storms, may you send rain to all the affected areas today Lord. You who are with the workers in the field to the owners of the field—be with your people in Australia now in the midst of these tragic fires. Bring an end to the loss of people’s lives, to the loss of animals lives, to the loss of homes and the loss of properties. Bring aid to the firefighters who, by serving others, also are serving you Lord. For there is no greater love than one willing to lay down their lives for another. Give them the courage and the strength to persevere, to find the ability in their bodies and souls to keep working for another day, another hour or minute. Renew the strength also of every emergency worker that is assisting to help with displaced peoples as a result of these fires. Today we pray Lord to Ease the winds that spread the flames, end the wildfires that uses the combustible fuels to continue to move uncontrollable and disperse the smoke that covers the skies of towns and cities. Lord for those who were evacuated from their homes. Lord give them peace as they are left wondering if they will come home to a pile of ashes. To those farmers who lost their crops and vineyards in the fires, Lord let them find hope amidst any loss. Lord may all firefighters and rescuers, as they work to save lives and halt the fires’ destruction keep them safe, as they put their lives on the line moving forward. Lord Bring hope to the displaced and the homeless today especially those that have watched helplessly seeing their homes burn down in front of them, that have lossed loved ones, that have seen the destruction in any shape or form Lord. Compassionate Lord, we pray for those who have been devastated by these wildfires. We remember those who have lost their lives so suddenly. We hold in our hearts the families forever changed by grief and loss. Bring them consolation and comfort. Surround them with our prayer for strength. Bless those who have survived and heal their memories of trauma and devastation. May they have the courage to face the long road of rebuilding ahead. Keep alive a vision of hope inside of their minds and hearts today. Help bring to their memories, the physical traces of which may be lost. Remind them that you are the promise of a new tomorrow. That they will arise from the ashes and turn their ashes into beauty Lord. Bring rest and peace to those who have been lost, and let all living souls find eternal life with you while it is still day. Be a comfort and relief all those that are grieving and as the towns and cities are rebuilt, may no one be left behind Lord. May all be remembered, as you remember all. As you led the Hebrew people through the desert, lead your people now, God. Lord unite all Australians together during this tragedy, locally and nationally to be one and live in peace and harmony. Remove all the hate and blaming that may be brewing up in the hearts of people, but rather seek solos in You so they can unite instead. We ask your blessing on all those who have lost their homes, their livelihoods, their security, and their hope. Bless the work of all relief agencies, the military personal, government leaders and those proving emergency assistance. May their work be guided by the grace and strength that comes from you alone. Help even us LORD to respond with generosity in our prayers, in assistance, in aid to the best of our abilities. Keep our hearts focused on the needs of those affected, even after the crisis is over Lord. May none of our hearts ever turn away from you Lord or from each other in our time of need. May we see you in the faces of those in need. May we see your work in the hands of all those who reach out to help others also in Jesus Mighty Name we pray and believe. Amen.
