3 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYER FOR MAY 1ST TO 3RD 2020
THEME: "REVIVE YOUR WORK LORD"
SCRIPTURE THEME: - Mark 11:23-24 "A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, on Shigionoth. 2 O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.”
This verse may be paraphrased also to “O Yahweh, I have heard Your fame, and I bowed in reverent worship. O Yahweh, repeat Your doings of old in the midst of these current years of affliction; in the midst of these years of sorrow, demonstrate Your power; in wrath, remember mercy.”
We are living in both peril times and exciting times for the born again Christian that is awaiting the return of the Messiah. But between both we also should have the same cry as did the Prophet Haakkuk that was praying for the Lord to show Himself in power once more. A revival speaks of things that were alive, but are dying out and need to be brought back to life. The greatest revivals in history have happened when the church has been declining and godly people have cried out, “Lord, we need to be stirred up in our faith once more especially now in the midst of the affects of this Corona Virus Pandemic! Come by your Spirit and quicken us again, starting from our homes!”
But a revival is not about us. It’s not about building bigger buildings, actually it is not about the 4 walls of a building at all. It is not about having louder and more dynamic services. When you are filled with the Spirit and God revives you, you start to see people as God sees people – as sheep without a shepherd – and it moves you to help them. It awakens us also to a fresh vision of our own spiritual state under the magnifying glass of the Holy Spirit. It draws us straight to the mercy of God and need to change under the strong conviction of the Holy Spirit.
There is the greatest harvest of souls about to come into the kingdom and Jesus tells us that the fields are ripe unto harvest, but the laborers are still few. When you feel for people and weep for their souls, when you go out of your comfort zone and you sacrifice and you stretch, that’s when God begins to quicken you and work in your life. See God is looking for not just anointed people, but people that will bear the fruit of His Spirit. Those that will move in Charity, love, joy, peace, suffers long, envies not, loves not self, those that are not puffed up, meek, goodness and faith. See He’s looking for someone who will say, “Revive me, not for myself, but that I might become a not just a harvester of souls, but will be transformed into Your image Lord.”
Therefore ask yourself this question today: “Where am I serving? Where am I working for Jesus? Do I need revival in my life? Do I need to be transformed into His image”. If the answer is yes then you are on the right track and this fasting will help you pursue God like never before.

PRACTICAL TIPS FOR FASTING:
1. Avoid medical and even natural herbal drugs. However, if you are under medication, these should only be withdrawn upon the advice of your doctor.
2. Limit your physical activity and exercise. If you have a workout routine, adjust it accordingly.
3. Rest as much as you can if needed be.
4. Maintain an attitude of prayer throughout the day. Intercede for your family, pastors, church, nation, missionaries & world missions, etc.
5. Drink plenty of clean water if you are joining the water fast.
6. As your body adjusts, be prepared for temporary bouts of physical weakness as well as a greater likelihood of impatience, irritability, and anxiety.
FASTING BRINGS REVIVAL:
“. . . in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. So, I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.” Daniel 9:2,3
Fasting helps us prevail in prayer and intercession. Daniel understood that Israel was headed for destruction. He also knew that in times like these, there is only one recourse—intercession through praying and fasting. Throughout human history, God has brought revival and delivered nations from destruction in response to prayer and fasting.
FASTING IS AN ACT OF HUMILITY AND CONSECRATION:
“. . . I put on sackcloth and humbled myself with fasting . . .” Psalm 35:13
Humility results in the grace of God (James 4:6). When we humble ourselves in prayer, we have instant access to the heart of God. As we deny ourselves as an act of consecration, we are better able to exercise self-control over our emotions and desires.
SPIRITUAL CLEANSING & SPIRITUAL EYES OPENED:
Fasting can be done for one meal, one day, one month or for however long God leads. It depends on how the Holy Spirit speaks to us. Shorter fasts are easier to endure until we have built up our “spiritual muscles”. A three day fast is most beneficial as a spiritual cleansing. An example of this is Paul’s being thrust into his fast upon conversion. After the three days of cleansing, he received the Holy Spirit and his eyesight when Ananias laid hands on him (Acts 9:17-18). We also can be spiritually cleansed by fasting so that we receive more of the Lord’s Spirit and have our spiritual eyes opened to new dimensions. A three day fast is also especially helpful in breaking any addictive habits.
These then are two reasons for fasting: We receive spiritual cleansing and our spiritual eyes are opened, and we also obtain victory over the devil. When Jesus encountered Satan, He was able to overcome Him because His fasting had given Him spiritual strength. Isaiah 58:6 also gives us light on this purpose of fasting: “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” Many people believe that fasting is to move the hand of God, when in actuality it is to make Satan turn loose of the things he is holding.
BREAKING STRONGHOLDS & BUILDING FAITH:
Fasting loosens the bands of wickedness. When Jesus discussed the keys to the kingdom, He told us to bind and loose. When we fast, we loose the bands of wickedness, undo the heavy burdens, set the oppressed free, and break every yoke of the enemy. Fasting is an important key to getting the victory over hard situations that do not seem to respond to normal prayer.
Fasting builds our faith. In fact, this is what Jesus meant when he spoke to the disciples in Matthew 17:21 in answer to why they were not able to cast a demon out of a child. He said, “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” He was telling them if they wanted their faith to be at such a level as to be able to cast out demons, then they must fast and pray for their faith to increase.
Fasting also makes it easier for us to hear the voice of the Lord. We find an account of this in Acts 13:2 “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
While fasting, the Holy Spirit spoke to them and gave them direction. We too can be directed by the Lord if we seek Him through prayer and fasting.
When we deny our natural cravings, our spiritual antennas become more attuned. We become more sensitive to His voice as we divest ourselves of worldly distractions. We are better able to focus on God and submit to His will. This opens the door for more of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Fasting and mourning are closely associated in the Bible. Two examples of this are found in Ezra and Nehemiah.
Ezra 10:6: “Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.”
Nehemiah 1:4: “And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.”
From these Scriptures, we see that fasting and travail (a prayer burden from the Lord that brings crying and tears) were combined. Both of these men were fasting for the repentance of God’s people. How we need this same kind of intercession today. Here were men so burdened for the sins of their people that they fasted, travailed and prayed.
Day 1 – “BAGGAGE CONTROL – RELEASING ALL THAT HINDERS US.”
Friday, May 1st, 2020
Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
Today, we declare freedom and release over all spiritual bondages and mental strongholds, in our personal lives as well as for our body of Christ, in Jesus’ name.
Scripture: Psalm 25:4,5 & 15
Psalm 25:4-5 “Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.”
Psalm 25:15 “My eyes are ever toward the Lord, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.”
The focus for starters is to repent of any sin you need to confess, any hurt or anger to release, extending forgiveness to others and yourself, letting people go whom have held you in bondage and guilt. We need to let go of disappointments, regrets and missed or lost opportunities suffered in our life’s or the churches. Get ready, for there is a great move of God stirring in the atmosphere and even though we have been in a real time of distress with the Corona Virus Pandemic. The remaining of 2020-2021 will be a tremendously powerful and significant years for the church of Jesus Christ across the globe.
KING OF GLORY MAY COME IN
Scripture: Psalm 24:7-10 “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory.”
There appears to be 2 main points in Psalm 24:7-10
1. Lift up your heads, O you gates/doors
2. Who is this King of glory? He is the Lord Almighty
This passage is one of energy, excitement, and great commotion. It is not just the normal mundane boring stuff of life. The passage gives the impression that there is something going on. Not just, normal boring day-to-day stuff. But something HUGE is going on. Something exciting is happening! Something is happening that should attract our attention! Something is happening that should make us all “lift up our heads”! So what is happening? The answer is simple. We are preparing for the “King of glory” to come in! God almighty is coming in!
Many times, the presence of God is undervalued. Did you know that God Almighty comes every time you gather with 2 or 3 in agreement? Even when you listen to a prophetic utterance or prayer video from our channel you are coming into agreement with the person praying and the Lord is there in your midst. Every time you meet together as a family to pray, or you meet for fellowship with fellow brethren or gather together at a church service God Almighty has promised to show up. Yes, did you know that God Almighty is amongst us when simply 2 or 3 believers gather in His name? Yet many times it seems that we are just attending either church or fellowship meetings, as if we are attending “just another gathering” attitude. And perhaps we think a little too much about who will be attending the meeting?, who will be sharing at the meeting? Or who will be leading worship? Does this fit my schedule? What am I going to have for lunch or dinner after?
Well the truth is this. It’s not just another devotional time or meeting with the Lord. It’s not just another service. Its not just another quiet time. It’s a big deal! Because somebody is coming - The KING OF GLORY, THE LORD STRONG AND MIGHTY. He is going to be there. So “lift up your heads, that the King of Glory may come in”.
I believe that this truly is a perfect time for us to reflect on the majesty of God since we have been in lockdown all across the globe. Yes churches have been shut, but that is just a building. Yes you don’t have the same worship team etc, but God is with you as a temple of His Holy Spirit that lives within you and when you gather with your families, or online with brethren, God is there. Therefore as we pray today, let’s remember. We have Almighty God in our midst and yes even in your house!
PRAYER FOR REVIVAL AND HARVEST OF SOULS (Psalm 85:6; 126:4, 5-6 you may search in your own time)
Pray that God will restore the fortunes of His Church in the land of your dwelling and the nations and by extension in our lives as His children in every land (Psalm 2:8)
Let us claim that our morning and day will be a day of reaping, and rejoicing because God is for us in Jesus name (Psalm 30:5)
SEEK THE KINGDOM
God’s heartbeat for your home and your city to be transformed. But this takes time, so don’t lose heart and never give up. Pray with shameless persistence like never before:
PRAYER FOCUS DAY 1:
Our Father in Heaven, we acknowledge that times and seasons are in Your hands. Throughout history, You raised up dreamers and doers to fulfill Your desires. We answer Your call today to be Your agents of godly change within our generation. With Your help Lord, we will effect Kingdom transformation within our cities and among the nations. Lord send revival to the culture of Arts and Entertainment, Business, Science and Technology, Communications and Media, to the Disadvantaged and Marginalised, to Education and School, to Family and Home, Government and Leadership. Anoint our eyes to see beyond the here and the now. Tune our ears to listen beyond the norm and the natural. Open our minds to dream beyond the human and the ordinary. Awaken our hearts to believe beyond the practical and the possible.
By Your Spirit, we will pray the vision with faith and focus. We will live the vision with integrity and dignity. We will spread the vision with passion and purpose. We will fulfill the vision with vigour and vigilance. Future generations will recall this moment and praise For you showed up in power and transformation when people prayed with one accord, in each individual place, by one people who chose to hear and obey Your Word. May Your Kingdom come, May Your will be done in our homes, our cities, our nations as it is in heaven Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, amen
Pray for Robert Clancy YouTube Channel to grow and reach those in need of ministry, without any more hinderance coming against the channel being taken down in Jesus mighty name.
Pray that the remaining of May 2020 that will spill over into the remaining of the year for breakthroughs that God will cause you to walk upon high places - in the places of honour, promotion and elevation in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Pray for Narrow Path Ministries (Rev Robert & Aida Clancy) and your church that God will supply exceeding, abundantly above all we could ask or think. Lord any spirit of sabotage that is coming against this ministry be exposed and cast back into the pit of hell in Jesus mighty name! Pray that every financial need will be met and that we will have more than enough to carry out the vision for this month of May and beyond. Pray that doors will continue to open in 2020-2021 to reach nations that are really ready for the gospel and hungry for revival.
Amen.
Day 2: “PRODIGAL SON’S ARE RETURNING"
Saturday, May 2nd, 2020
Scripture Reading: Luke 15:25-35 “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ 28 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29 So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30 But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ 31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”
Now the Lord has shown me that many backslidden Christians and prodigal children will come back to the Lord within this end-time revival and awakening, so let us look at this scripture more closely that we as a church maybe ready for what is to come.
Now as we read the parable, we see that both sons demanded their rights. Both related to the father for what they could get out of him. Both were lost in their own way. One in the far country. The other in the father’s house. Which is worse? Which are you?
Put yourself in the shoes of the elder brother. From where you stand, the little brat has diminished the money of the family estate by liquidating and wasting his share on prostitutes. And now he comes back, and your father kills the fatted calf! Humanly speaking, you have every reason to be angry or at least annoyed.
You throw a tantrum. You stake your claim. You snub the invitation to celebrate. You refuse to allow the healing of the family to run its course. You never say Father but Look here I do not agree! You never say Brother but this son of yours. All you can think about is your rights, a goat to feast on, not with family, but with friends. The father pleads. But by your own choice, you exclude yourself from the where the party is happening.
Alienation in the father’s house can be worse than the one lost in a far country. This elder brother is too blind to see that he too is lost. It is all too easy to hide behind one’s principles saying “I never disobeyed you” and disdain God’s grace and mercy.
The modern Church is filled with elder brother-types who are respectfully lost in the Father’s house. That have not spent enough time just sitting at the feet of Jesus. We need to re-discover God’s amazing love and reckless grace. We need to accept those who, like the prodigal, cannot merit one iota of God’s mercy or earn His forgiveness. We need revival saints and we need it more now than ever before.
The parable ends with the door wide open and the father pleading. Will you come in? Will you join the party? Will you receive the Kingdom as a little child? Will you receive and forgive your brothers and sisters?
Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
The focus for today is to repent of any sin you need to confess, any hurt, any big brother attitude or anger. Ask the Lord to help you extending forgiveness to others and yourself, letting people go whom have held you in bondage and guilt. We need to let go of disappointments, regrets and missed or lost opportunities suffered in our life’s, family’s, or the church. Get ready, as the remaining of 2020 will be a tremendously powerful and significant remaining year for you personally to get closer to God and for many more to catch the fire of repentance revival across the global body of Christ.
Today, we declare freedom and release over all spiritual bondages and mental strongholds, in our personal lives as well as for our body of Christ, in Jesus’ name.
Let us claim that our morning and day of reaping, and rejoicing has come this day in Jesus name (Psalm 30:5)
PRAYER FOR RESTORATION (Isaiah 35:1-2, 5-7)
Father, be merciful unto us and save us for the sake of Your name! We pray for freedom from all forms of imprisonment, all that limit or hinder progress in life and in ministry. Lord we ask You to appear and speak to us within our situation and show us what we don't know that keeps us in prison, and that You’ll show us great and mighty things (Jer. 33:1, 3; Ex. 5:22-6:1; Habakkuk. 2:1)
SEEK THE KINGDOM
Think about your history of relationships. Have you been offended by God’s reckless grace? Be honest. All of us have a tinge of the elder-brother’s spirit. Will you allow God to expose and deal with it? Will you open your heart to His kind of love? Will you reconcile? Will you choose to be merciful as God our Father is merciful? Pray:
PRAYER FOCUS DAY 2:
Dear Loving Father forgive me for pretending to be more spiritual than I am. Forgive me for begrudging Your lavish love and longsuffering mercies toward sinners. I confess I have been wayward at heart. I repent of my foolish sense of superiority. Forgive me for self-righteously judging, despising, and rejecting those who do not perform like me, those who have walked out on family and faith. To my shame, I have not served You out of joy and love, but out of duty and fear just to comply. Pluck out the hidden roots of spiritual pride and deception in my life. Create within me a right spirit and a compassionate love so that I may always—with open heart and open arms—accept and acknowledge, applaud, and affirm every sinner who comes home. Thank you, Father, for sending your son to the cross to die for us and that we may have life In Jesus Name, amen.
Start to pray for your community saints. Yes, spend some time now praying by location for individuals and families in your community and throughout the region who need to be saved today.
Pray that God will send into their lives believers who will witness to them and lead them to Christ.
You may also pray for persons that are close to your heart (e.g. business owners, single parents, teenagers, family members, heads of government and frontline workers that have been under pressure during this Corona Virus Pandemic).
Intercede on behalf of your nation and the nations of the earth. Bind every satanic spirit that is coming against the nations. Rebuke the spirit of corruption in the name of Jesus. Rebuke the spirit of murder and abortion over each nation. Ask God to shine His light into our society's and expose every evil work. Pray that the darkness of sin might be dispelled through the light of God’s Word.
The Bible tells us that promotion comes not from the east or the west but from God alone. (Psalm 75:6-7) Humble yourself before the Lord that He may promote you in His time. Seek His will and submit your plans to Him.
Give honor to the Lord today. He is your rock, your fortress, and your shield! The name of the Lord is a strong tower, so run into his name for safety today. Ask the Lord to guide you and direct your life. Whatever decisions you are facing today, commit them into God’s hands and pray for wisdom and direction.
Pray that the Lord will set you apart and set you on high so that your life will be a witness and testimony to the world. Ask God to elevate you at your work, in your family, and in your community, so that his light can shine out from you.
There is much error being taught in churches today. Pray for a return to the Bible, as our only source for doctrine and practice. Ask God to bring a revival of truth to the nations of the earth. A revival of Word & Spirit.
Intercede for lost souls. Ask God to lift the veil of deception from their eyes, so that they will see the truth of Jesus. Pray for your family and friends who don’t know Christ. Ask God to convict them of sin, and soften their hearts to receive His Word.
Intercede for all people that are in need for employment. Pray for their applicants to be given good positions. Seek the Lord for His peace, wisdom, and grace to be on their applicants, as they interview for positions.
Claim the promise of God’s blessing today. Ask God to increase you finances. Pray for Divine favor to open doors for you so that you will have contracts that will lead to financial success. Promotions in the work place. Inherited blessings that will chase you. Seek the Lord for the wisdom you need to make wise financial decisions and investments.
FURTHER PRAYER FOCUS DAY 2:
Ask God to cause revival living waters to begin to touch every area of your life, family, your nation, your church, Narrow Path Ministries (Pastor Robert & Aida Clancy) and for them to bring healing to every sickness, life in place of death, fruitfulness in place of barrenness, multiplication in place of stagnation. Cover Pst Robert Clancy and his family from every reprisal attack from the enemy for all the work he is doing on the front lines against the forces of darkness. Yes Lord protect them with your warrior angels as a hedge of protection around everything they do and go in Jesus Mighty Name!
Pray this prayer: Father, we are confident of this very thing; that He who has begun a good work in us; and in the Narrow Path Ministries that you would provide a building and new home for the ministry to have a training, healing and revival (worship centre) retreat centre it in Jesus name (Philippians 1:6). Give thanks to God for this and for answered prayers in your personal life also that He would provide for you according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Remember as you pray for others, God takes care of your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
Shalom
Day 3 — “CAPTAIN’S ORDERS”
Sunday, May 3rd, 2020
Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”
Matthew 16:19 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Too often in our lives we find ourselves being picked on by the enemy of this world. The enemy knows that he cannot stead our salvation, but what he tries to do is hold us captive by having slight control over certain aspects of our lives – fear, hurts, pain, relationships, our past. We then go to God and say “Help, Help!” expecting God to just swoop down and save us. This kind of lifestyle is quite different from that what Jesus had called believers Like the apostles (Luke 9:1-2) and the seventy (Luke 10) who were told by Jesus to go out and preach and teach about the kingdom of God, and he also said they were to heal the sick and set the captives free. See, what God is telling us, I have given you the tools to battle, now do it”.
As children of God he has equipped us with tools necessary to be ‘set free’ from what is holding us back. Spiritual warfare is a pro-active approach to our faith. We actively engage the enemy when we are in spiritual bondage. We need to utilize prayer as a weapon to penetrate strongholds that cannot be reached in any other way. Spiritual warfare is putting aside passive attitudes towards faith, which keep us from commitment and cause us to pursue only those things that will benefit us.
The words Bound and Loose are both legal terms found in Matthew 16:19. Bind – to put under legal obligation, as to keep under the peace or appear as a witness. Loose: to release from domination or control; to become free, independent. The enemy has no legal right to try to steal what the Lord has done for us. The Bible says that, “where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.” (2 Cor 3:17). So why do we allow the enemy to bind us? Through the word of God and the power of prayer, we have the legal authority to tell the enemy that he has no power in our lives, to let him know what God has done for us. It’s not just a good thought, it’s an order from the Captain of the army of God Himself.
Look back over the past 2 days or others the last 35 days and thank the Lord for every transition and shift (no matter how small) you have made (spiritually, emotionally and physically) during this period of fasting and praying. The bible says in Psalm 69:30 “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify the Lord with thanksgiving.” It also says in Psalm 100:4 “Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving and God’s courts with praise; give thanks to the Lord and praise God’s name.”
Declare today on Day 3, your transformation and breakthrough will be complete according to God’s will and riches.
Decree that there is no going back to the old season. Speak completeness of turnaround in your healing, health and wealth in your spirit, emotions and physically.
Thank the Lord for every person who has fasted and prayed during this period of time – that they too will experience the fullness of transformation and transition in spirit and circumstances no matter where they are around the world. Remember God heard your prayer and your answer along with the answer of others is coming. Therefore, be prepared to receive more than you asked for child of God.
PRAYER FOCUS FOR DAY 3
2 Chronicles 7:14 “ if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
See the Lord is calling us to pray for a spiritual awakening that will stir up within the hearts of the remnant church, so that a great outpouring of the Holy spirit may come upon all flesh. Therefore, we must pray for an alertness and an awakening from spiritual slumber, and a grafting in of the saints into the Body.
Declare readiness over God’s people for radical change!
Decree that lives are being characterised by an increasing hunger for a new move of God.
International Repentance Prayer For All To Confess:
O Lord, according to Your Word, we enter Your courts with Thanksgiving and Praise. Most High God, Master and Creator of the Universe, we humbly bow before You and worship You with all of our heart, soul and mind. Like Jesus instructed us, we start this prayer out with Thanksgiving—deeply grateful and thankful that You DO, indeed, hear the prayers of Your children.
“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:16
We acknowledge the incredible right and privilege You have given us to walk directly into the Presence of the most Powerful and Effective force in the Universe and BOLDLY ask for assistance. The devils tremble at this privilege that You have afforded us through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Help us to fully take hold of the extent of this opportunity. Forgive us for the times when we have not utilized this right effectively through lack of Faith.
Lord Most High, we are in dire need of Your assistance. There are forces afoot that would attempt to destroy Your Creation--Forces that seek to steal, kill and destroy Your Church. You said that we would have Life and have it more abundantly. You said the gates of Hell would not prevail against your Church. For Your sake, O God, and based on the unfailing promises of Your Holy Word, do not let the forces of Evil and Darkness prevail. We ask that Righteousness, Peace and Joy would abound so Your name would be honoured and glorified. We believe that both Israel and other "bridal nations" were founded expressly on Your Power in their Law and Constitutions. These types of countries were formed for Your Glory---Providentially placed under Your Covenantal Contract to be shining cities upon a hill whose Beacon Light was to guide freedom-loving people and other nations globally.
We acknowledge our failure in the Body of Christ to live up to our side of the Covenant. We have NOT lived as we should. We have NOT obeyed all of Your commands. We have NOT placed You first in our lives. We confess that our nations are currently on a dangerous pathway towards the idolatry of Human Secularism which seeks to remove You from every aspect of our daily public lives. In doing so, we have not only failed to follow in Christ’s footsteps to help “set the captives free”, but have become captives ourselves to an un-Godly philosophy that will ultimately destroy the very foundations of our nations.
O God, we sincerely repent of our personal and national sins. We repent of the sins of omission as well as commission. These sins include idolatry, murder, anger, stubbornness, dishonesty, corruption, greed, sloth, lust, envy, compromise, fear, gluttony, gossip, hypocrisy, impurity, ingratitude, profanity, stealing, unforgiveness, untruthfulness, worldliness, worry and the ultimate sin of Pride. We take no solace in the fact that some of us may not have personally embraced sins such as abortion or marriage redefinition BUT by apathy or indifference have allowed evil to flourish. We have not followed Your Biblical mandate to submit to You, obey Your Holy Commandments and resist the Devil. Nor have we had a zeal to repent which invites You to commune with us, enabling us to become overcomers who will sit with You on Your throne (Rev 3:19-21).
Instead of embracing righteousness we--individually, in our families and in our nations--have performed evil acts. We have fallen short of Your Glory, for which You have cursed our nations with drought and pestilence and have opened our borders to the plunder of foreign armies. Even with obvious signs in the stars, moon, sky and weather, we have not repented and returned our nations to You Lord in corporate repentance. Instead, our leaders have vowed to rebuild us of their own strength thus raising a fist is defiance to Your judgments.
Master, please have mercy on us. We beg for Your grace and mercy. We are undeserving of your mercy, but Your Holy Word says you are patient, kind, loving, merciful and longsuffering. Please, because of who YOU are and not because of what WE are—hear our prayer and grant our petition this day. We know You will hear from Heaven and will forgive our sins and heal our lands if we humble ourselves, pray, seek Your Face and turn from our wicked ways.
Then may all the kingdoms of the world truly know that YOU are our God and that we have no other gods but You.
May You get all the glory, honour and praise. May Your Kingdom come quickly, and may Your will be done here on Earth as it is in Heaven.
We pray this prayer with great expectancy, looking upwards for our ultimate Salvation when You will return to set things right forever Amen!
FURTHER PRAYER FOCUS:
Pray for a new and great manifestation of God’s miracle power in your life, Narrow Path Ministries, Your church, and Your nation. Seek the Lord for miracles, signs, and wonders that will amaze the people and bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pray that God’s healing power would come into your life in all of its fullness. Ask that He would heal you from sickness and disease, and from every hurt, brokenness, and defeat. (3 John vs. 2; Isaiah 53:5)
There are hidden strongholds that are blocking your progress in life. Pray against those strongholds. Ask God to reveal them to you so that they can be broken (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Name the specific stronghold in your life and family and command it to be broken in Jesus’ name.
Thank the Lord that He is changing you. Thank Him for His love that does not want to leave you the way you are. Pray that His plans and His will come to pass in your life as you submit to Him.
Pray for all the singles partaking in the fast who are seeking life partners. Ask God to guide them to the person who will really be a blessed spouse to that person. Pray for wisdom, guidance, and strength to overcome fleshly desires.
Pray for the Lord to open the doors to revival within each of our cities to reach the lost souls within this hour, that a mighty move of God would sweep the nations and whatever God is doing in this hour He would include all those that hunger and thirst for Him.
