3 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYER FOR OCTOBER 25th, 26th & 27th 2019

THEME: "CLAIM THAT MOUNTAIN"

Please click onto the Link for more details of the program: https://www.repentancerevival.com/…/3-days-fasting-and-pray…

SCRIPTURE: Joshua 14:12 “So now, give me this mountain which the Lord spoke that day, for you heard on that day that the [giant-like] Anakim were there, with great fortified cities; perhaps the Lord will be with me, and I shall drive them out just as the Lord said.”

Child of God, it’s time to take what’s yours. As we learn from the story of Caleb who boldly said, “Give me this mountain!” and claimed it as his inheritance.

Israel has entered the promised land of Canaan and conquered it. Joshua chapter 13-14 lays out how the land was divided among the tribes. In Joshua 14:6 then we see Caleb coming before Joshua with a request. His request recorded in verse 12 is simple, “give me this mountain.” So whatever mountain of opportunity that is before you, God has given you the grace to overcome today also.

Now by what right did Caleb stand before the leader of God’s people and demand, “give me this mountain”? See as a child of God, your heavenly Father has promised you an inheritance. Caleb knew that God had promised him and His family line an inheritance and he came to cash in on that promise.

The Lord wants you to keep possessing these promises of God within your life.

It is important to know your position and inheritance as a child of God, and to keep believing and keep possessing what’s rightfully yours through Christ Jesus!

OUR FIGHT IS A FIGHT TO POSSESS WHAT IS ALREADY OURS.

"....You know the word which the LORD said” (Joshua 14) — Caleb knew God’s Word. Many children of God today don’t know God’s Word. Therefore it is time to get familiar with what the Word of God says in our daily lifes! Caleb knew what God’s Word said about him. Today, we read the Bible to know what God is saying about our inheritance.

Galatians 4:1–7 “Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

KNOWING OUR INHERITANCE AS CHILDREN OF GOD IS CRUCIAL WHY?

Because the devil does not want us learning about the finished work of the cross, because it will cause us to possess our inheritance.

So, no matter what mountain you are claiming today whether it be marriage restoration, healing, deliverance, financial breakthrough, promotion, employment, vindication etc it is yours to claim.

This month of October we want to encourage all Christians on social media that want breakthrough and restoration to Fast & Pray along with us this month’s 3 day fast.

This is an event anybody can partake of anywhere around the world in your home, church, friend’s house, in the village or in the city etc with the main purpose of getting people to repent and turn back to God on the same calendar day through fasting with the help of prayer taken from 2 Chronicles 7:14, that it will build awareness of the need to pray for your local church. Though we are on different time lines I encourage you to just follow the dates for your respective countries.

Date: 25th,26th & 27th of October 2019

Fasting Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Fasting Type: Fasting from food but drinking water or fluids for those that can. You are welcome to break the fast each evening and start again either after meal (6am-6pm) or you can go straight through.

Fasting Teaching - https://youtu.be/DFWacd-8ShY

PRACTICAL TIPS FOR FASTING:

1. Avoid medical and even natural herbal drugs. However, if you are under medication, these should only be withdrawn upon the advice of your doctor.

2. Limit your physical activity and exercise. If you have a workout routine, adjust it accordingly.

3. Rest as much as you can if needed be.

4. Maintain an attitude of prayer throughout the day. Intercede for your family, pastors, church, nation, missionaries & world missions, etc.

5. Drink plenty of clean water if you are joining the water fast.

6. As your body adjusts, be prepared for temporary bouts of physical weakness as well as a greater likelihood of impatience, irritability, and anxiety.

FASTING BRINGS REVIVAL:

“. . . in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.” Daniel 9:2,3

Fasting helps us prevail in prayer and intercession. Daniel understood that Israel was headed for destruction. He also knew that in times like these, there is only one recourse—intercession through praying and fasting. Throughout human history, God has brought revival and delivered nations from destruction in response to prayer and fasting.

FASTING IS AN ACT OF HUMILITY AND CONSECRATION:

“. . . I put on sackcloth and humbled myself with fasting . . .” Psalm 35:13

Humility results in the grace of God (James 4:6). When we humble ourselves in prayer, we have instant access to the heart of God. As we deny ourselves as an act of consecration, we are better able to exercise self-control over our emotions and desires.

SPIRITUAL CLEANSING & SPIRITUAL EYES OPENED:

Fasting can be done for one meal, one day, one month or for however long God leads. It depends on how the Holy Spirit speaks to us. Shorter fasts are easier to endure until we have built up our “spiritual muscles”. A three day fast is most beneficial as a spiritual cleansing. An example of this is Paul’s being thrust into his fast upon conversion. After the three days of cleansing, he received the Holy Spirit and his eyesight when Ananias laid hands on him (Acts 9:17-18). We also can be spiritually cleansed by fasting so that we receive more of the Lord’s Spirit and have our spiritual eyes opened to new dimensions. A three day fast is also especially helpful in breaking any addictive habits.

These then are two reasons for fasting: We receive spiritual cleansing and our spiritual eyes are opened, and we also obtain victory over the devil. When Jesus encountered Satan, He was able to overcome Him because His fasting had given Him spiritual strength. Isaiah 58:6 also gives us light on this purpose of fasting: “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” Many people believe that fasting is to move the hand of God, when in actuality it is to make Satan turn loose of the things he is holding.

BREAKING STRONGHOLDS & BUILDING FAITH:

Fasting looses the bands of wickedness. When Jesus discussed the keys to the kingdom, He told us to bind and loose. When we fast, we loose the bands of wickedness, undo the heavy burdens, set the oppressed free, and break every yoke of the enemy. Fasting is an important key to getting the victory over hard situations that do not seem to respond to normal prayer.

Fasting builds our faith. In fact, this is what Jesus meant when he spoke to the disciples in Matthew 17:21 in answer to why they were not able to cast a demon out of a child. He said, “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” He was telling them if they wanted their faith to be at such a level as to be able to cast out demons, then they must fast and pray for their faith to increase.

Fasting also makes it easier for us to hear the voice of the Lord. We find an account of this in Acts 13:2 “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

While fasting, the Holy Spirit spoke to them and gave them direction. We too can be directed by the Lord if we seek Him through prayer and fasting.

When we deny our natural cravings, our spiritual antennas become more attuned. We become more sensitive to His voice as we divest ourselves of worldly distractions. We are better able to focus on God and submit to His will. This opens the door for more of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Fasting and mourning are closely associated in the Bible. Two examples of this are found in Ezra and Nehemiah.

Ezra 10:6: “Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.”

Nehemiah 1:4: “And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.”

From these Scriptures, we see that fasting and travail (a prayer burden from the Lord that brings crying and tears) were combined. Both of these men were fasting for the repentance of God’s people. How we need this same kind of intercession today. Here were men so burdened for the sins of their people that they fasted, travailed and prayed.

Day 1 – CLAIM THIS MOUNTAIN

Friday, October 25, 2019

Scripture Reading For Today:

Joshua 14:6-15 “6 Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal. And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him: “You know the word which the Lord said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea. 7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart. 8 Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the [a]heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the Lord my God. 9 So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God.’ 10 And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel [b]wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. 12 Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.”

13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance. 14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel. 15 And the name of Hebron formerly was Kirjath Arba (Arba was the greatest man among the Anakim). Then the land had rest from war.”

• Mountains are often symbolic of impossible situations

• A mountain may mean a lot of things to a lot of people for maybe it is the mountain of: marriage delay, children, ministry, promotion, success in your job, getting your business started, a relational issue, winning a family or friend to the Lord etc.

• What is your impossible situation today? How do you go about taking your mountain?

Whatever that mountain may be to you and no matter your condition, you shall still bear fruit even in your old age child of God.

Maybe there are those people who would look at themselves and their situation like Abraham did, and come to one conclusion -

"That your days are too late, as abram mentioned to the Lord. Genesis 15:1-4 “After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” 2But Abram replied, “O Lord GOD, what can You give me, since I remain childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3Abram continued, “Behold, You have given me no offspring, so a servant in my household will be my heir.” 4Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one will not be your heir, but one who comes from your own body will be your heir.” 5And the LORD took him outside and said, “Now look to the heavens and count the stars, if you are able.” Then He declared, “So shall your offspring be.” 6Abram believed the LORD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

See because Abraham believed in God it was accounted to Him as righteousness and so shall it be to each saint that walks in faith believing the God of the impossible will bring about His perfect will within their life’s.

Or maybe you have been like Sarah that laugh and said she was too old to conceive a child, but God did it. See nothing is too impossible for the Lord, we just must be willing to step out in faith to claim that miracle despite of what your circumstances may say.

Are those your thoughts that it seems impossible for your circumstances to change?.... Is that where you are today? Well, child of God, please hear me as I declare the word of the Lord to you today:

You can STILL take your mountain today as Caleb did 1000’s of years ago!

It doesn’t mean that there won’t be times that you wouldn’t have to deal with the emotions of fear when you peer into the dark unknown; but God’s grace is still sufficient to get you through any dark valley. There are other times when your heart will be filled with faith and expectation and excitement at the prospect of the change that God has been speaking to you about. So, no matter what challenge you are facing today, God will still make a way for you.

A Different Spirit - Num 14:1-24 (feel free to read)

Our main scripture text (Joshua 14:6-15 above) introduces an encounter between Moses and Caleb, where Caleb was making a demand of Moses, referencing an event that had transpired between them 45 years earlier.

Remember God's faithfulness to His promises has no expiry date!

God had revealed His plans to Israel, in which He instructed them to go in and possess the land that He had promised and given to them for an inheritance. The children of Israel however, had the bright idea that maybe God did not really think His promise through, and chose instead to send men to spy out the land and determine if what God asked them to do was sensible or possible. (Numbers 13:17-25)

God allowed Moses to consent to their request, and he consequently sent in 12 men to spy out the land and bring back their report to the people.

Hear the report they brought back to the camp (Num 13:26-33):

"26They came back to Moses and Aaron and to the whole community of the Israelites in the wilderness of Paran at Kadesh. They reported to the whole community and showed the fruit of the land. 27They told Moses, "We went to the land where you sent us. It is indeed flowing with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28But the inhabitants are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29The Amalekites live in the land of the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan."

Remember this is the same Information, but Different Perspective!

Even though Caleb and Joshua saw the same things that the other ten men saw and had access to exactly the same information as they did, they processed things from a different perspective, looking through the eyes of faith and not through the carnal eyes of unbelief:

We are well able to go up and take the mountain

"30Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses, saying, "Let us go up and occupy it, for we are well able to conquer it." 31But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against these people, because they are stronger than we are!" 32Then they presented the Israelites with a discouraging report of the land they had investigated, saying, "The land that we passed through to investigate is a land that devours its inhabitants. All the people we saw there are of great stature. 33We even saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak came from the Nephilim), and we seemed liked grasshoppers both to ourselves and to them."

What is your perspective on the mountains that are confronting you today?

The unbelief which had spread throughout the camp resulted in disunity and rebellion -- as fear and unbelief always do. The LORD was angry with the people and vowed that none of their generation would enter the Promised Land, with the exception of Caleb and Joshua.

"But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it" (Num 14:24).

We see a reference to this incidence in Deuteronomy, where Moses was recounting the story later on to the children of Israel. Deuteronomy 1:34-36 “And the Lord heard the sound of your words, and was angry, and took an oath, saying, 35 ‘Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see that good land of which I [a]swore to give to your fathers, 36 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and his children I am giving the land on which he walked, because he [b]wholly followed the Lord.’ 37 The Lord was also angry with me for your sakes, saying, ‘Even you shall not go in there.

Imagine even the Lord said to Moses you shall not enter also as a result of the peoples unbelief, so what made the difference?

Well lets look shall we at the ten who compared the giants with themselves and the giants appeared large; but Joshua and Caleb compared the giants with God and the giants were cut down to size. See when we see the devil from God’s perspective he will go from a roaring lion to a little kitten. The two spoke faith "The LORD is with us," they said. "We have no reason to be afraid!

See unbelief never gets beyond the difficulties — the impregnable cities and the impossible giants. It preoccupies itself with them, brooding over them, pitting them against mere human resources.

Rather faith, on the other hand, though it never minimizes the dangers and difficulties of any circumstance, looks away from them to God and counts on his invisible presence. "The LORD is with us," Caleb insisted, "do not be afraid of the giants." See when God is for you then who can stand against you child of God?

Right now precious child of God, I need you to raise your voice and declare out loud:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! And that I am more than a conqueror!

Let's return to our main bible text for today and focus on an extraction which I shall paraphrase from Num 14:24 that we read earlier:

"My servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly."

You need to have a different spirit from the spirit of fear, unbelief, doubt and discouragement that the enemy may have flooded your thoughts with, for you to inherit the promises of God in this season. You need to be at that place, when your heart is fully committed to following Jesus, and fully set to obey His instructions and commandments to you!

See how Caleb's faith is showing and speaking through in his conversation with Moses (Joshua 14:10-13):

"Just as the LORD promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years ... so here I am today, eighty-five years old!" (10a).

"I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I'm just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then" (11).

"Now give me this mountain that the LORD promised me that day" (12a).

"You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said" (12b).

Notice that in three out of the four statements in this section, he mentions the name of the Lord. "The LORD promised... The LORD promised... the LORD helping me."

Caleb had learned to trust in the promises of God and hang his faith on the inevitability of their fulfilment. He knew what it was like to have the LORD help him, and he was confident that the LORD will continue to be faithful to keep His promises.

Caleb was properly aligned with God and was therefore supremely confident that his situation will also align with God's promises for his life.

Listen again, to God's testimony concerning Caleb:

"He followed me wholeheartedly"

Can God say the same about you? It is time to live for God wholeheartedly child of God and don’t look back at the cost, but keep your eyes on the prize always.

WE DEFEAT OUR GIANTS BY:

1. Like Caleb, we must have a spirit of courage which is founded on our faith in God.

2. We must follow God COMPLETELY. Throughout the Bible we are given examples of complete, uncompromising, and unending faith that brought victory to those who had it.

3. We must be willing to do our part. God has promised the land to us, but we must be willing to fight for it. God’s promises will not be handed to us on a silver platter, but must require faith on our part.

4. We must be persistently patient. We will receive the promises of God if we never give up hope and never give in to doubt and despair. If we do these things, we too, like Caleb, can claim the promised land for our own.

PRAYER FOCUS DAY 1:

Start today's prayers by first meditating on Philippians 4:13 “13 I can do all things through [a]Christ who strengthens me.”

Think about your life and your situation - Is there any way you have limited God by making Him smaller than the giants or the mountains that you are facing? Get on your knees and repent. Ask God to forgive you for dishonouring Him.

Remind yourself of all the promises of God concerning your life and make a good warfare with your prophecies.

Ask God to revive the right spirit in you, and to give you the strength to follow Him wholeheartedly, as you rise up and move forward to claim His promises.

Focus on the month of OCTOBER and claim the release of every blessing and the fulfilment of every promise for that month, for yourself, your family the church.

Lord Unveil my eyes; let me know the truth of Your word concerning my life and every situation that I am in right now.

Expose every lie of the enemy that has been designed to sabotage your plans and purposes for my life.

Deliver me from every deception and the lies that the enemy has used to distract me; whether through words, my thoughts, my emotions and feelings, false prophecies, dreams and visions that are not from God.

Uproot everything in my life, my thinking and my emotions, that has kept me in bondage to the spirit that has been deployed to hinder the fulfilment of your word concerning my life.

Pray that the remaining of 2019 will be for you a mountain conquering year, that in this year, God will cause you to walk upon your high places - in the places of honour, promotion and elevation in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Pray for Narrow Path Ministries (Rev Robert & Aida Clancy) and your church that God will supply exceeding, abundantly above all we could ask or think. Lord any spirit of sabotage that is coming against this ministry be exposed and cast back into the pit of hell in Jesus mighty name! Pray that every financial need will be met and that we will have more than enough to carry out the vision for this year and beyond.

Amen.

Day 2: “FAITH IN ACTION"

Saturday, October 26th, 2019

Scripture Reading For Today: Philippians 2:1-13 “Therefore if there is any [a]consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it [b]robbery to be equal with God, 7 but [c]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”

What first came to your mind when you read the title of today's teaching? What does the title "Faith in action" minister to you?

At first glance, one would be right to imagine that the title is an appeal or encouragement or assurance to you to believe in the efficacy of the word that God has spoken and which you have believed; that this word which you have confessed and are standing on, is definitely able to produce the desired, or the expected results; that God will deliver on His promises to you, because faith works. Right?

Was that how you read it?

Whilst all of that is true and you would have most been correct to have received that message "Faith in action" from the title, I was however, hoping to minister another aspect of faith to you in today's teachings.

Feel Led or Feel Lead

Lead is a very heavy substance that is often used as a ballast to improve stability or to weigh things down and keep them from moving.

For many of us, prayer has become like a lead ballast that has kept us on our knees, but unfortunately not on our feet and on the move. We have prayed and fasted and sought the face and the mind of God, but nothing changes because we have come short of taking that sure step towards accomplishing the vision. Why? Because we are still "praying about it" and waiting to "feel led" before we do what we needed to do.

There are people who are praying and waiting to feel led before they go out and evangelise; there are those who are praying and waiting to "feel led" before putting their CV together and applying for a job. There are many, who are still waiting to "feel led" before they step out and do what God has already revealed as His will and given them the permission to do.

Please hear me well precious saint; I am definitely not saying or suggesting that it is wrong to pray and wait on God for leading or direction before embarking on a venture.

In the sense of providing security and steadfastness in the face of the challenges, storms and winds that life will drag you through, prayer is that ballast that you need to anchor your faith to keep you from being tossed about or being overwhelmed in the adversity. But much like a ship and it's anchor, that ship isn't going anywhere with its anchor down. There comes a time when that anchor has to be reeled back on board so the ship can move forward. Whilst there's a time for prayer to be a ballast for your faith, there also comes the time, when prayer must become the fuel that propels your faith into action.

All that God has been speaking to you over the past couple of days will mean nothing, if you don't commit to some definite, specific and strategic actions - Acting on God's promises and instructions to you, is a necessary ingredient for you to appropriate the blessings and walk in the fulfilment of your breakthrough and victory!

As someone once said:

"The distance between your dream and reality is ACTION"

Now one frustration of being a Pastor can be sometimes when people change their minds after you have counselled them for several hours with good advice. Even though their own circumstance is demanding a decision to be made, they would go back on their decision to make not make one. I have had cases when checking up on people hours, days or weeks or even months after and find out that they were still in exactly in the same position they are in before the "counselling sessions " started. Their excuse or "reason" for not acting? Is sometimes "Well Pastor,"I had a check in my spirit; I didn't feel led"

I heard of one pastor that after hearing this so many times over the years, he arranged for a bowl of lead to be put on his table. So, the next time anyone said they hadn't acted because they didn't "feel led", he'd grab their hands and dip it in the bowl of lead and say: "Here; do you feel that? That's lead; now that you've felt lead, you can now go ahead and feel led to do what God told you to do!"

Whilst that may sound funny to you, I'd like you to take a step back and look at your life and ask yourself if you are not one of those people?

Well, you might say in response: "Pastor Clancy; doesn't the bible say: "As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God?". Yes you are absolutely right, but faith also requires and action.

Faith-Works or Faithworks? Same Difference...

If you remove the empty space between Faith and Works in the title, and replace it with a dash, to spell Faith-Works; or if you bring both words together, the title will read faithworks, that is the gist of what God is saying to you today, and which Apostle Paul writes about in James 2:14-26 (Read)

The empty space between the two words "Faith" and "Works" is very often the disconnect between God's promises to us and the realities of our daily existence. That empty space is filled with wishful thinking, inaction / inactivity, presumption, procrastination and fear. And to add another shocking truth, maybe even foolishness!

The reason why "Faith" had not "worked" for some of us; is simply because our faith had not works to back it up!

WHAT ARE YOUR FAITHWORKS? WHERE ARE YOUR FAITHWORKS? I am challenging you today; No, God is asking you today, to fill that empty space between faith and works with Holy Ghost breathed actions.

After writing a list of all that God has been speaking to you through this years fasting series about what He has promised to do, you need to come up with a second list - A "must-do" list; an ACTION PLAN of what you are committing to do to see those promises of God come to pass in your life in this season. Don't forget to keep reminding yourself,

God Can Do, but I Must Do Too!

“for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13

What is God asking you to do in this season? What specific actions is God requiring of you? The answer to this question will bring some of us out of our comfort zone into an uncomfortable and unfamiliar place; an uncomfortable, yet progressive place.

Hard decisions and choices will have to be made; Tough turfs will have to be travelled; adjustments and Sacrifices have to be made; old wine skins have to make way for the new wine skins to contain the new wine of the new season. You have to roll up your sleeves, rub in some elbow grease and knuckle down to work with your word. Yes friend;

Faith still requires you to work!

As Apostle Paul said in James 2:14-26 “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

I'll like to end today with this quote that is accredited to Francis of Assisi, who was a Roman Catholic Friar and preacher who lived in the 12th century before the reformation:

"Start by doing what is necessary. Then do what is possible. Suddenly you are doing the impossible..."

PRAYER FOCUS DAY 2:

No weapon that is fashioned against me shall prosper.

My life is hid with Christ in God. My destiny is secured in the Faithfulness of God's word concerning my life.

My purpose is a sure testimony that is complete and perfect in accordance with God's plans for my life.

I command a restoration of God's timing and order in alignment with His master plan for my life, my family and the church in Jesus's Name.

Begin to petition God based on His word and pray that you will begin to walk in the tangible manifestation of open heavens over your life—your household, family, ministry, business, finances, church etc.

Declare that every area of your life will begin to manifest the blessings and evidence of Gods restoring power to every area of your life.

Pray this prayer: Father, we are confident of this very thing; that He who has begun a good work in us; and in the Narrow Path Ministries that you would provide a building and new home for the ministry to have a training, healing and revival retreat centre it in Jesus name (Philippians 1:6). Give thanks to God for this and for answered prayers in your personal life also that He would provide for you according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Remember as you pray for others, God takes care of your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.

Pray & Declare out loud: “By God’s grace as we have meet October and as Pastor Robert travels to Trinidad in the coming days that revival will be sparked within the hearts of each hungry soul. That chains of oppression would be broken and that sickness will be healed in Jesus Mighty Name! We pray that the Lord would speak to this nation in a powerful way concerning things to come and that this nation would repent from all corruption, witchcraft & idol ancestral worship in Jesus Mighty Name. That all meetings within the itinerary will be run smoothly with no interruptions and that many souls would be saved as a result of the preaching of the gospel in Jesus mighty name!

Ask the question: What will You have me do Lord?

Write down a list of what God has said or will say to you, and then pray to God for a strategy or an action plan to accomplish His will.

Write down the action plan (Don't wait to "feel led" before you do this). Pray for God to bless the plan.

Thank God for the plan. Pray for the wisdom, Grace and anointing to see it through.

Focus on the month of OCTOBER and claim the release of every blessing and the fulfilment of every promise for that month, for yourself, your family the church.

As the popular saying goes:

Pray as though everything depended on God; act (PLAN) as though everything depended on you.

Faith is not allergic to planning...Plan by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and work out your faith. Selah

Ask the Lord to help you step out in faith for the remaining of this year and into 2020, that you will be a doer of the Word in every area of your life today.

DAY 3 — REDIFINE YOUR NAME

Scripture Reading For Today:

Scripture Reading: Gen 25:19-26 ”This is the genealogy of Isaac, Abraham’s son. Abraham begot Isaac. 20 Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian. 21 Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the Lord. 23 And the Lord said to her: “Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”

24 So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb. 25 And the first came out red. He was like a hairy garment all over; so they called his name [a]Esau. 26 Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called [b]Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.”

Gen 32:24-28 “24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the [a]breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He [b]touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!” 27 So He said to him, “What is your name?” He said, “Jacob.” 28 And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but [c]Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

WHAT IS YOUR NAME?

Thanks for coming back again for this final day of our October 3 day fasting and prayer teaching. I hope you are as excited as I am, about the awesome promises that God has given us about the things He's going to do in this season we are entering into only two months away from entering 2020 and beyond?

God said so many things to us this last year and even during this weekends fast, but I want you to be excited about your future because?

“Your past is not your history... Your past is just a footnote in your history…your real story is still in your future!“.

That gives me great confidence and consolation that God isn't finished with me yet, and that in spite of how the story of my life has been so far, my best is yet to come. Hallelujah! What about you? This is a word for you in season?

What's In A Name?

There's a common saying:

"A rose by any other name is still a rose". Meaning what someone or something is called does not change their innate characteristics or attributes.

Taken at face value, that sounds like a very accurate, simple and straightforward, logical statement. However, that seemingly benign statement carries a loaded spiritual truth that has a critical consequence on our lives, and which may have a bearing on your season and your destiny.

There's just something about human beings that makes us to love giving names to things. In addition to the obvious ones, we also name our cars, toys, gadgets, hurricanes, storms etc. And then we give names to people....These names unfortunately, are sometimes unkind judgements that we have passed on them especially nicknames as children.

Going back to our rose statement; Let me start with this question: Who named it a rose in the first place?

Think about that for a minute.

When it was first called a rose it did not matter if anyone called it anything else, it would always be a rose.

Have you started to wonder where I am going with this?

Stay with me. Let's look at a verse of scripture (Genesis 2:19): "The LORD God formed out of the ground every living animal of the field and every bird of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them, and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name."

The very first assignment that God gave to man was for Adam to come up with names for every living creature that God had made. The scripture we just read, declares that - whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.

God gave man the authority to name His creation and whatever man called, it, God agreed with him, and it was so!

" Jabez was more respected than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, for she said, "I experienced pain when I gave birth to him." 10Jabez called out to the God of Israel, "If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!" God answered his prayer." 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Just like Jabez, there are many of us reading this, that are living out names that we have been ascribed by our circumstances or by people who have put a label on us. Names that are the opinion that man or circumstances have defined us by - We have been named by our mistakes, our disabilities, our failures and our struggles or missteps. Some of us even go farther by unwittingly pronouncing names on our situations and giving life to the lies of the enemy - Ah; this situation is hopeless; this year is a hard year; this (my) case is terrible; this son of mine is a fool; my husband / wife is a pain; my situation is critical; can you think of any of your favourite ones?

Life can often present Gen 2:19 to us with a parallel reading -

"And the devil brought; or, and life brought man into a situation to see what he would call it; and whatever man called the situation, that was it's name."

These names have stuck to us and because we have agreed with the pronouncements and sanctioned the lies, our lives and our identities have been defined and limited by them.

What names have you christened your situations?

What names have you christened yourself?

Do you know the name that God calls you?

The statement: "A rose by any other name is still a rose" can mean one thing to you.

It means that whatever names have been pronounced over you and your situation is what they will be. But remember what I said earlier - The real identity of that rose is vested in the person that had the authority to first name it!

Be careful what names you declare over your life or your situation in this season. You will have what you say!

You know what this means to you? It means that if you are a child of God, whatever names you have been called or whatever names your situations are being called that are contrary to what God has called them, are all lies that are subject to change!

As God said to Jeremiah: Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in your mother's womb I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations."

God was telling Jeremiah that regardless of what he thought about himself, He had named Jeremiah's destiny before he was born. God had named his purpose before any situation came to be. That was exactly what He is saying to you too!

It doesn't matter what your situation now says you are; it doesn't matter what your past says you are. A rose by any other name is still a rose - You are still, will always be, will ever be who God says you are; what He says you are. You just need to agree with God!

There are many instances in the bible, where God had intervened in people's situations and changed their names in order to change their situations to align with the destiny that He had appointed for them. Abram became Abraham to become a father of many nations. Sarai became Sarah to become a mother of nations; Jacob the deceiver, became Israel, a prince with God; Elisabeth, she who was called barren become the mother of The great prophet John the Baptist; Simon the flaky reed, became Peter the rock; we who were once called sinners and enemies of God, have become accepted in the beloved and have become the redeemed of the Lord, joint-heirs with Christ.

Name Your Season

God is changing your name and the names of your situations in order, for your season to align with your destiny.

Your have been redefined!

Dear child of God, I say all these to come to the second word that I find to be a key word for us in this season:

"Do not allow anyone to limit your dreams to the size of their own faith!"

Go on and name your season. Don't let anyone name your season for you!

Do not place any limitations on your season by calling it what anyone else calls it; no one should name your season for you. God wants to do more in this season than you can ever imagine - Start calling yourself what God calls you. Start calling your situation what God calls it. Start calling your season what God says it is. You can redefine your destiny!

PRAYER FOCUS DAY 3:

Bring the whole of the remaining year before God and prophesy into your season, your life, your family and the church.

Pray the prayer that Jabez prayed in 1 Chronicles 4:10 (quoted above).

Ask God to change your name and your situations to align with your season.

Ask God to name your season to align with your destiny.

Call yourself what God calls you; call your situation what God names it. Go right ahead and name your season. Agree with God and Call your season what God says it is!

Thank the Lord for every person who fasted and prayed during this period – that they too will experience the fullness of transformation and transition in spirit and circumstances.

Pray for an alertness and an awakening from spiritual slumber, and a grafting in of the saints into the Body.

Pray for a new and great manifestation of God’s miracle power in your life, Narrow Path Ministries, Your church, and Your nation. Seek the Lord for miracles, signs, and wonders that will amaze the people and bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray that God’s healing power would come into your life in all of its fullness. Ask that He would heal you from sickness and disease, and from every hurt, brokenness, and defeat. (3 John vs. 2; Isaiah 53:5)

There are hidden strongholds that are blocking your progress in life. Pray against those strongholds. Ask God to reveal them to you so that they can be broken (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Name the specific stronghold in your life and family and command it to be broken in Jesus’ name.

Thank the Lord that He is changing you. Thank Him for His love that does not want to leave you the way you are. Pray that His plans and His will come to pass in your life as you submit to Him.

Pray for all the singles partaking in the fast who are seeking life partners. Ask God to guide them to the person who will really be a blessed spouse to that person. Pray for wisdom, guidance, and strength to overcome fleshly desires.

Pray for the Lord to open the doors to revival within each of our cities to reach the lost souls within this hour, that a mighty move of God would sweep the nations and whatever God is doing in this hour He would include all those that hunger and thirst for Him.

Finish by personalising and praying Psalm 20:1-9 over your life.

Shalom, Shalom, Shalom
