Prayer & Fasting For A Church In Need

www.repentancerevival.com Prayer & Fasting For A Church In Need “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds…” II Corinthians 10:3-6 As we draw to the closing of the last month's of this year, I want to encourage all Christians on Facebook to Fast & Pray for your local churches that they may open their spiritual eyes to all deception within the church within this hour. Pray that only Jesus be lifted up, Him only preached and crucified to help prepare them for the coming of the Lord. This is an event anybody can partake of anywhere around the world in your home, church, friend’s house, in the village or in the city etc with the main purpose of getting people to repent and turn back to God on the same calendar day through fasting with the help of prayer taken from 2 Chronicles 7:14, that it will build awareness of the need to pray for your local church. Theme: Spiritual Warfare For your local church. “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31 What is Spiritual Warfare Spiritual Warfare - is the war or conflict between the forces of good and the forces of evil in the spiritual or invisible realm; it is the active battle between those representing God’s kingdom and Satan’s kingdom. Spiritual warfare is a powerful weapon that entails directly addressing Satan and his kingdom in offensive combat against the forces of evil. Mighty strategic weapons of war are available, through the power of earth-moving prayer, and may be used to defeat every enemy of the Church! Are you listed in God’s book as one of the “Movers and Shakers” in the kingdom of God? Are you engaged effectively in Spiritual warfare: earth-moving prayer? Are you making a difference in our world? The Purpose of Spiritual Warfare: The main objective of spiritual warfare is to enter in the Spirit and to pull down strongholds of the adversary and also the spiritual fortified gates of Hell with God’s prevailing power and authority. As we engage in spiritual warfare through intercession, God’s kingdom is being established. Jesus and the Apostles both proclaimed the Kingdom of God. Jesus has commissioned us as disciples to likewise proclaim the Kingdom of God. (Luke 9:1-2) One of the greatest prayers that one can pray is found in Matthew 6:10 “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 11:12 states, “…the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent takes it by force.” Luke 12:31-32 says “…seek ye the kingdom of God…and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” A promise was made to Abraham by God ensuring that his “seed” would possess the gate of his enemies. We are the seed of Abraham. God said “…I will bless thee…and multiply thy seed as the stars…and as the sand …and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.” Genesis 22:17 The Prayer of Faith with Fasting: It is important to visualize the desired results in prayer. This is the spiritual sight of faith. It has perfect vision and can read every letter on the chart of the supernatural. (Hebrews 11:1-3) “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24) Fasting, coupled with prayer, is a powerful weapon (Daniel 9:3, Mark 9:29; Acts 2:42). It brings humility to the human nature and propagates greater sensitivity to the spiritual realm. It is an act of surrender and self-denial of the flesh in exchange for a greater revelation of Jesus Christ. The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit, and fasting sharpens that sword, making it more effective. Fasting complements prayer. It brings powerful transformation. It ushers personal/national revival and transcends to those around us. Consecration brings revelation, and revelation brings demonstration! Isaiah 58:6-14 relays the purpose for fasting: looses the bands of wickedness; unties heavy burdens; frees the oppressed; breaks every yoke; produces compassion for the needy; provides an entrance to the presence of God; hastens an answer from God; brightens one path; repairs breaches and gaps; grants spiritual understanding; brings deliverance and victory; activates Godly authority; and more. Local Church Prayers Heavenly Father, I’ve never been more aware of how much Satan hates the Bride of Jesus—your called out, beloved people. Having lost your sons and daughters for eternity, he will do anything and everything he can, overtly and covertly, to wage war against (and in) the church. We come to you today interceding for churches that are in satan grip through deception that are preaching another gospel and are lukewarm that they may be enlightened today in Jesus Name! (2 Cor. 2:11). Father, we praise you for what Satan knows. “He is filled with fury because he knows that his time is short” (Rev. 12:12). He knows Jesus has already defeated him. He’s the mortally wounded dragon, whose head has been crushed (Gen 3:15), whose works have been destroyed (1 John 3:1-10) and whose destiny has been sealed (Rev 20:10). “Hallelujah!”, we shout with joy and confidence. Though we “tremble not for him,” knowing that one word from Jesus “will fell him” (A Mighty Fortress Is Our God) nonetheless, we are aware that he is constantly threatening to “undo us”. So hear our prayers for our church families: We pray for a fresh work of the Spirit in the hearts of our leaders—overseers, bishops, pastors, elders, deacons and staff. One of the most effective ways Satan attacks a church is by injecting the venom of distrust, divisiveness and disunity among its leaders. If leaders bite and devour one another, before long the whole church will follow suit. Father, smite the hearts of our leaders with fresh gospel astonishment Pray for them to come back to Jehovah in deep repentance because of the false Doctrines and teachings that have brought compromise into the house of God, which has defiled the alter of God. Bring back convictability, humility, civility and charity. May the leaders of our church families be the ones most obviously committed to keeping and guarding “the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Eph. 4:3). May they be the ones most obviously committed to keeping God’s commands, especially the great commandment (Matt. 22:36-40) and the new commandment (John 13:34). Father, we also pray for renewed gospel-centrality of the old rugged cross in every ministry of our local churches—in the children’s, youth, adult, preaching/teaching and worship ministries, in every ministry of the church. Because when a church ceases to “hold fast their testimony about Jesus” (Rev. 12:17)—cherishing, applying and defending the gospel of God’s grace, it becomes vulnerable to every scheme of Satan. Rescue our churches from pettiness and petulance. Bring our churches back to the life-giving lyric and the holy heart-transforming the music of the gospel, Father. A hypothetical gospel only works for hypothetical sinners. Let us once again know that we are much more broken and in need of your grace than we presently realize. And also convince us that we are much more accepted and loved by you, than we ever dreamed or imagined. For the glory of your name, Father, be swift and sure in answering our cry. So very Amen we pray, in Jesus’ exalted and triumphant name. International Repentance Prayer O Lord, according to Your Word, we enter Your courts with Thanksgiving and Praise. Most High God, Master and Creator of the Universe, we humbly bow before You and worship You with all of our heart, soul and mind. Like Jesus instructed us, we start this prayer out with Thanksgiving—deeply grateful and thankful that You DO, indeed, hear the prayers of Your children. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. ~James 5:16 We acknowledge the incredible right and privilege You have given us to walk directly into the Presence of the most Powerful and Effective force in the Universe and BOLDLY ask for assistance. The devils tremble at this privilege that You have afforded us through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Help us to fully take hold of the extent of this opportunity. Forgive us for the times when we have not utilized this right effectively through lack of Faith. Lord Most High, we are in dire need of Your assistance. There are forces afoot that would attempt to destroy Your Creation--Forces that seek to steal, kill and destroy Your Church. You said that we would have Life and have it more abundantly. You said the gates of Hell would not prevail against your Church. For Your sake, O God, and based on the unfailing promises of Your Holy Word, do not let the forces of Evil and Darkness prevail. We ask that Righteousness, Peace and Joy would abound so Your name would be honored and glorified. We believe that both Israel and other "bridal nations" were founded expressly on Your Power in their Law and Constitutions. These types of countries were formed for Your Glory---Providentially placed under Your Covenantal Contract to be shining cities upon a hill whose Beacon Light was to guide freedom-loving people and other nations globally. We acknowledge our failure in the Body of Christ to live up to our side of the Covenant. We have NOT lived as we should. We have NOT obeyed all of Your commands. We have NOT placed You first in our lives. We confess that our nations are currently on a dangerous pathway towards the idolatry of Human Secularism which seeks to remove You from every aspect of our daily public lives. In doing so, we have not only failed to follow in Christ’s footsteps to help “set the captives free”, but have become captives ourselves to a un-Godly philosophy that will ultimately destroy the very foundations of our nations. O God, we sincerely repent of our personal and national sins. We repent of the sins of omission as well as commission. These sins include idolatry, murder, anger, stubbornness, dishonesty, corruption, greed, sloth, lust, envy, compromise, fear, gluttony, gossip, hypocrisy, impurity, ingratitude, profanity, stealing, unforgiveness, untruthfulness, wordliness, worry and the ultimate sin of Pride. We take no solace in the fact that some of us may not have personally embraced sins such as abortion or marriage redefinition BUT by apathy or indifference have allowed evil to flourish. We have not followed Your Biblical mandate to submit to You, obey Your Holy Commandments and resist the Devil. Nor have we had a zeal to repent which invites You to commune with us, enabling us to become overcomers who will sit with You on Your throne (Rev 3:19-21). Instead of embracing righteousness we--individually, in our families and in our nations--have performed evil acts. We have fallen short of Your Glory, for which You have cursed our nations with drought and pestilence and have opened our borders to the plunder of foreign armies. Even with obvious signs in the stars, moon, sky and weather, we have not repented and returned our nations to You Lord in corporate repentance. Instead, our leaders have vowed to rebuild our of their own strength thus raising a fist is defiance to Your judgments. Master, please have mercy on us. We beg for Your grace and mercy. We are undeserving of your mercy but Your Holy Word says you are patient, kind, loving, merciful and longsuffering. Please, because of who YOU are and not because of what WE are—hear our prayer and grant our petition this day. We know You will hear from Heaven and will forgive our sins and heal our lands if we humble ourselves, pray, seek Your Face and turn from our wicked ways. Then may all the kingdoms of the world truly know that YOU are our God and that we have no other gods but You. May You get all the glory, honor and praise. May Your Kingdom come quickly and may Your will be done here on Earth as it is in Heaven. We pray this prayer with great expectancy, looking upwards for our ultimate Salvation when You will return to set things right forever and ever. Amen.
