1974 DREAM AND VISION OF WHAT COULD BECOME OF AUSTRALIA – BY JACK BURRELL

Excerpts from Jack Burrell’s amazing 1974 book WHAT WILL BECOME OF AUSTRALIA.
Jack’s own words, quote…
“Several years ago, I arose early in the morning, in the dark hours, to spend an hour in prayer and supplication with The Lord, as was my custom (The Lord when He was upon this earth, used to go out early in the morning and pray, so how much more do we need to do so). Having prayed I returned to my bed again and went off to sleep. Perhaps I had not been asleep long before The Lord began to speak to me by way of a vivid dream showing me something of what will become of Australia. The dream came to me in two distinct parts.
PART ONE-
I saw a vision of a great map of the world spread out on a wall before me. The map was a white background with the outlines of the countries in black, very plain, and very clear. As I looked in wonder at this great map, I was amazed to notice that a filling in was slowly taking place of certain countries, in black colour.
What I saw reminded me of the pictures we used to see in our newspapers during the War when the Axis Powers were encroaching on countries, and each day their advance was indicated by filled in areas. I saw the blackness begin to fill in at the Northern end of India, and slowly move down until all of India was black. The black mass kept on moving and spreading, taking in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and all of Burma, and continuing down to fill in Malaya, and Sumatra and Borneo, on through Java and all of Indonesia, including West Irian.
Then as Papua and New Guinea filled in, so also did the Northern end of Australia, and Australia slowly filled in right down to a line across the continent from Northwest Cape in the West to Cape Byron in the East. Here the filling in halted, and remained, leaving less than half of Australia not filled in. What I saw was the invasion of Australia by an alien force, and as I watched this revelation taking place, I was somewhat relieved to see the invaders stop at Byron Bay for my own home was at Ballina, only a few miles South.
The vision was so real.
The map of the world faded away as I looked, and in my dream, I was left thinking about it all, and I was telling myself that away in the far distant future, someday such a thing would happen, but not in my day. And I reasoned like this with myself until I was startled to find myself an actual participant in yet another vision even more vivid than the one, I had just seen.
A vision in a dream sent to me, I believe, to settle in my thinking a time factor, not in some far-off day, but somewhere within my normal life span. I could be alive, and aware of the very invasion in actual time. Nowhere up to date have I been shown the identity of the invaders. Some people have speculated that they are Russian, or Chinese, or Japanese, or that Islam is to arise in Arabia, and extend its Empire right down to Australia. But I would not like to say anything until it was clearly revealed.
PART TWO-
In this second part of the dream, I found myself to be out somewhere in the more Western and arid area of New South Wales or Queensland. It was outback country. I noticed the trees, all small like shrubs, Myall or Gidgea, low and scattered, as far as the eye could see. The air was full of rising dust, caused by the movement of stock, mostly cattle.
And there was the noise of cattle, and of stock men, and their dogs barking. I noticed that all the movement was in a Southward direction, and they were hurrying. Then I noticed people walking and stopping to shelter with children in the scanty shade of the small trees because of the heat of the day. As I stood there looking at this unusual sight, a vehicle of the Australian Army forces drove up to me, and one of the occupants, an officer, spoke to me and said, “Get out of here as quickly as you can. We expect a battle to take place right here today in this area” …unquote. Jack had other revelations from The Lord during this period associated with his “invader vision” here is a list of events straight from “What will become of Australia” …page 20. There would be a time coming when…quote,
“People will lose faith in authority, and a breakdown will take place in attitudes leading to open rebellion against all forms of government. With the build-up of perplexity, and the breakdown of morale, will come a general falling away as we have never envisaged, reaching into homes, and schools, and places of employment, and clubs, and churches, and governments. Iniquity will abound at a rate hitherto undreamed of, and as the scripture says, ‘Evil men shall wax worse and worse’.
A last-ditch stand shall be made for material security by many people, and at any cost, by any means, and across the whole strata of society many people shall be trodden under the feet of so-called neighbours, and so-called friends. Greed and avarice will be like a consuming bush fire taking all before it, in big business, and monopolising combines. But the Lord Himself will see to it that the righteous are fed, and clothed, and not lacking in any good thing. They shall be a wonder to the wicked, and some help to the poor and needy. They shall rejoice in the goodness of The Lord.
Demonic powers shall be evident as some people will yield themselves to strange forces, causing others to be deceived by them, whose destruction will come upon them from the powers that bind them. But all power which is not of God will utterly fail before The Name of the Lord, and any person who calls on The Name of The Lord shall be delivered. Lust is going to be like a great epidemic spreading out through the nation, leaving a trail of sorrow, and broken lives in its wake. It will not be safe for any girl, or woman, to be on their own. Sex will be emphasised through every medium possible, to gain and warp the imaginations of people, both young and old. Adultery will not be regarded as sin, and unfaithfulness will not be seen for what it is, a vow made to God, broken asunder. But The Lord will sanctify His people, and during corruption show them forth to principalities, and powers, as the Perfection of His Grace.
There will be a strange fear stalking the land, driving many to consume alcohol and take drugs, or do anything in order to escape its darksome shadow. It will come upon people, bringing with it, heart attacks, nervous breakdowns, and all manner of sickness. Hospitals will not be able to cope with the sick and dying.
There will be many victims of violence, as crime, rape and godlessness abound.
Famine is going to sweep the country, and right here in Australia there are going to be those who will (suffer from lack of food). The famine will not be caused by droughts alone, although there will be strange weather behaviour bringing loss to rural areas, but the real cause will be political bungling and greed. Farmers will not be able to provide food because of a great fuel shortage, and transport difficulties.
Implements and machinery will lie in the fields and food will waste away.
At this time world politics (and powers) will be involved with the affairs of Australia. There are to be three great kingdoms on the earth who will rise in splendour to outshine each other. They will be like the sun, the stars and the moon as they shine. Out of those kingdoms shall come a force like a terrible dust storm, showing itself stronger and stronger, until all is engulfed by it.
It will take country after country until Australia is reached, and half of Australia is taken.
Right now, at this present time, there are men of dark countenances* gathering to plan, and to scheme, and to share their ideas for the fall, and the take-over of Australia. They are absolutely ruthless. They are not concerned about their own lives. They want to kill, and cause destruction. As the scripture says, “their feet are quick to shed blood”.
They are gathering now. They are strengthening their positions. They are making ready to go to war with lands that are like unwalled cities, and defenceless against them.
Their dark secret is to take all before them. But The Lord knows their secret, and desires to broadcast it from the rooftops, and make it known, for the sake of the righteous, and because of His mercy towards all who will turn to Him, before it is too late.
When these things start to come to pass people living in the Northern half of Australia will flee to the South to shelter from the invader. Some will flee because they will take warning from The Lord, and others because of fear. The accommodation of so many will be a terrific problem, and how to feed them will be another.
There will be a programme of conscription of manpower and woman power, whipped up by the government bodies for the defence of the country. As the invaders encroach further and further, the more intense the conscription will become, until only the young, and the old escape. When the invaders have finally taken possession of all the northern half of Australia from its most easterly point to its most westerly point, a perimeter will be set up, and the advance of the invaders will be stayed because of some world political compromise being reached among world powers.
And the invaders will keep the Northern half of Australia and populate it with people of their own choice.
The Southern part of Australia will be governed by a communist style government, and all land, and all property will be owned by the state. Farmers from the North will have to work land along with farmers in the South to provide food for the people.
All people will have to do as they are told and will be oppressed by a police system empowered to make arrests, or kill without trial, for the slightest law infringement. There will be no substantial peace, or freedom again in Australia, until that day when The Lord Jesus Christ shall return with power and glory to rule the world in righteousness.
This is where the “Word of Wisdom” ceased, and I was left speechless.
This was so final and so devastating that I wondered if there were any hope left anywhere. I am sure there is”, unquote.

If any of this unnerves you, then perhaps you need Jesus to remove the fear. Why not confess your sins right now and ask God to forgive you and invite Jesus into your life simply believing that HE died on the Cross for your sins and that GOD Raised HIM from the dead and get saved.
The happiest days of my life were amongst born again Christians in lively Christian churches.

With dreams, visions, and prophecies we tread carefully. Some dreams, visions and prophecies turn out to be false. Some may have errors in them. In the meantime, we note the contents of a revelation and file them away as possible future events. God sending a revelation gives us time to pray about an event, or even people.
PERSONAL NOTE ON THIS DREAM AND VISION
We only must see the tensions arise with China and Australia at present, to know that some of the above could be possible in the future, but prayer is vital within this hour. Now apparently some other dreams, visions and prophecy’s spread around in the early 70’s from different Christian church groups in Australia, about an invader in the South Pacific. Not a great number of revelations by-any-means, but enough to create interest in those who collect prophecies.
No date for the event seems to have been mentioned by anyone who claims to have received a revelation. My understanding is that God rarely, if ever, mentions times anyway. Mostly all we might get a look at is an “approaching season”. It could be that if such an invasion is going to happen sometime into the future, it will be during World War 3, if at all? As with all prophecies we simply must wait and see if the prophecy is genuine? Such events as these may not happen. Some prophecies turn out to be false. Some may have errors. We write about dreams, visions, and prophecies because Christians claim to have received them. We spread them around because it gives us a chance to pray about (possible) future events. Generally, with prophecies we note the content of the prophecy and store the content away for future reference. We continue to pray for Australia, especially for Christian Revival, so to receive Gods Help with the future.
Jacks’ revelation, in 2022, is just over 48 years old. Some older Christians from the 1970s and 1980s regard Jacks revelation as a benchmark on this subject. Jacks’ revelation is certainly well-remembered by many Christians, all these years later. Jacks book (titled above and from 1974) appears to pre-date any work of fiction in the modern era regarding an invader to Australia; and there have been several interesting books on the concept of an invader to Australia. “Tomorrow: When the War Began” being one of the more popular series.
Jack’s book is not a work of fiction but Jack’s own description of a two-part vision and Words of Knowledge from The Lord Jesus Christ. Jack and his revelations are a bit of a legend in parts of the Christian churches of Australia. In the 1970’s and 1980’s Jack’s book travelled far and wide throughout the more charismatic Christian churches (Assembly of God, Christian Outreach Centres etc.) and was on sale in many Christian bookshops. Many Christians became aware of his revelations and, I believe, it encouraged much prayer for Australia during its time.
Tomorrow the 21st of May 2022 is the federal election in Australia, and we are praying against the enemy’s plan to hand this country over to the globalists and one world control. Older Christians may remember the book we are referencing above. Now Jacks book has been out of print for many years, though many copies undoubtedly exist on Christian bookshelves all over Australia.
PLANNED FOOD SHORTAGES
For those that have seen within their supermarkets (grocery stores) and restaurants, there seems to be signs of a food shortage, due to supply issues. We have seen the price of fuel skyrocket and the conflict in Ukraine cause a global issue of the imports of fertiliser and grains nearly cease. We have already seen cargo ships being hindered to unload on the port’s docks for one reason or another. This is all part of the master plan of the elites to bring about a food shortage across the globe and potentially start a food war. It's a plan of Davos-deluded billionaires, big banks, mega-corporations, media oligarchs to collapse the entire economic & social order, replacing it with a new digital ID system of iron-clad control over every facet of our lives. So, at the very bottom of this blog, I will share some advice to stock up a little out of wisdom and not fear. Now the truth is despite of how it may seem today the enemy’s plans are happening; God is still sovereign and is allowing to bring about His perfect will.
THE RAPTURE IS IMMINENT
Saints Now with the Tribulation period fast approaching, we need to set our houses in order before the rapture of the remnant bride of Christ. Why are we told to look for that ‘Blessed Hope’? What is so ‘blessed,’ and why should our ‘hope’ be in it? I’ll tell you why, because it is an event where the Lord will remove Christians that are truly His before the coming judgement of God on this Christ-rejecting world. Once the rapture takes place, this world will change dramatically and if you thought things were bad now, then you really do not want to be left behind. See if I knew we were to be left behind I would be preaching in tears, knowing what is about to happen. So, throughout this program we will focus more on personal and corporate revival.
There is no other better time not than to remind your loved ones of what is to come and to not to take the mark of the beast and worship the Antichrist. So, utilise this time to make things right with God and with man if there is any hidden offence that you either need to make right or forgive from the heart. Though the tribulation will be a horrific time on earth where evil will increase and control amplified to the worse levels in history, there is a place far worse than the tribulation period, and that place is called Hell. For it is a place of burning, weeping, and agonising pain that will never end throughout all eternity (Luke 16:19-31). Don’t make that mistake and end up in a burning hell but come to the Lord Jesus Christ today.
THE PROPHECIED WARS THAT ARE AHEAD
As I look at all the current world events today all I see are the signs we are getting closer to the tribulation. But before that happens, I believe that the trigger for the antichrist to come on the scene (Daniel 9:27) will be not the Ezekiel 38 & 39 war and I think most would agree. This Battle of Gog & Magog, which is described in (Ezekiel 38-39) will take place around this time before the tribulation period. This battle will be led by Russia and an Islamic Coalition consisting of Iran, Turkey, Ethiopia, Sudan & Libya etc who will come down and try to attack Israel. I do not believe that Putin is the antichrist, but he will be used as Gog in the Ezekiel 38-39 war. See the antichrist will put a stop to the death and destruction that will come from the aftermath of this war (Ezekiel 38-39) and he will confirm a peace covenant. He will have a solution for the Ezekiel war. But even before the Ezekiel war happens other events can happen first and will happen very fast as a matter of fact. Now one event that we should keep our eyes open for is the Isaiah 17 prophecy of the destruction of Damascus, along with the Jeremiah 49 prophecy of the destruction of Elam. Now another also is the complete fulfilment of the Psalm 83 prophecy also.
THE PROPHECY OF ELAM (JEREMIAH 49)
Now coming back to the Jeremiah 49:34-39 prophecy, if Israel uses its forces to fulfil these events, then this might be the trigger for the Ezekiel 38 &39 attack on Israel. The Isaiah 17 event is overnight according to the scriptures it tells us and as for the Elam attack in Iran, I don't believe that will be more than a day or two. Jeremiah issued his prophecies concerning Elam about 596 B.C. Jeremiah wrote about Elam about a decade before his contemporary Ezekiel prophesied about Persia in Ezekiel 38:5. Ezekiel’s ministry spanned between 595–573 B.C. Modern-day Iran is comprised of ancient Elam and Persia. Ezekiel was familiar with Elam, according to Ezekiel 32:24–25, but he did not include Elam in the line-up of invaders in Ezekiel 38. Elam was probably intentionally omitted, because it is the subject of its own distinctly different prophecy, outlined by Jeremiah.
The area of Elam is one-tenth of modern-day Iran, being located between the Persian Gulf. The Iranian nuclear reactor is located today in the southern portion of this precise area at Bushehr, on the coast of the Persian Gulf. The destruction of Elam is imminent and is most likely to occur before the fulfilment of the war described in Psalm 83. There is a possibility that Israel might militarily strike the Bushehr reactor, which, in turn, would trigger the Psalm 83 war in which all the nations with a common border with Israel will unite and attack Israel with the purpose of annihilating the Jewish state. Jeremiah informs us that the attack upon the ancient territory of Elam will produce numerous refugees, perhaps even turning into a humanitarian crisis. Exiles will be dispersed worldwide, as if being blown about by overpowering winds. Additionally, Jeremiah says that Elam has stirred up the Lord’s anger, and that provokes the Lord to cause a severe disaster inside of Iran. Gods fierce anger” will be focused on the area of Elam because Iran is using that area to develop a nuclear weapon which it has declared that it will use to destroy the Jewish state.
RUSSIA LEADS A COALITION AGAINST ISRAEL
Now you will not find the name Russia anywhere in the Bible. But the nation we know as Russia figures prominently in prophecy. In Ezekiel’s list of ten names, the third name, Rosh, is most likely the territory we know as Russia. Not only do the two names bear phonetic similarity, but Ezekiel’s description of the location also points to Russia. Now biblical prophets assumed Israel to be the centre of the world. Whenever we find compass points or geographical directions in prophecy, they are given in relation to the position of Israel. Ezekiel and Daniel both describe Israel’s End Times aggressor as descending from the north. Daniel used the phrase “king of the North” to describe the commander of the alliance (Daniel 11:5-35). Ezekiel’s prophecy lends support to Daniel’s, indicating the invading armies will arrive in Israel “from the far north” (Ezekiel 38:6, 15). Russia is the only modern nation to match this description.
Now for those that might not be aware, but Putin wrote an article titled “The historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians” which he published on the Kremlin website which experts are saying is his final ultimatum to Ukraine and his justification for war. In the essay he says that Ukraine is a part of the historical lands of Russia and that they are to be reunited as one, as the heirs of the ancient Prince of Rus (Rosh) which is called out in the Ezekiel chapter 38 Gog of Magog prophecy. Now the descendants of Gomer, originally located in the territory north of the black sea, which is today Ukraine, will be one of those under his control.
It is also worth mentioning that recently also that after Israel sided with Ukraine, the Russian response came when Russia's delegation to the UN issued a condemnation of Israel's construction plans in the Golan Heights. The Russian statement said: Since 1949. Russia does not recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights that are part of Syria. It was also recently reported that Russia fired at Israeli Airforce Jets over Syria air pace. Is this also a possible threat of the impending future war to bring the Ezekiel 38 prophecy alliance together as a major on-ramp for end-time prophecy fulfillment?
This coalition that will march against Israel and setting the stage for this gigantic world war focused on the Holy Land. It is mentioned in (Ezekiel 38 12-13) that these nations will come down in Israel to try and take a spoil. Now we can’t say for sure what that spoil is, but I believe it will have something to do with all the oil & gas that Israel produces. Now with the current conflict in Ukraine, many of the NATO European nations are looking for alternative gas and oil supplies, so one of the ways that Russia and Co may come is to stop any such future big deals with these European nations. But as these armies reach the mountains of Israel, something supernatural will occur.
As described in (Ezekiel 38:14-22), God will rise and destroy the invading Islamic and Russian forces. His method of destruction...He will rain fire and brimstone down from heaven. This will destroy every jetfighter in the air. At the same time, God will cause a great earthquake to occur that will shake the entire world. This will destroy and dismantle all armoured vehicles and cause major casualties on the ground. For those who survive the earthquake, He will then cause mass confusion amongst the armies, and they will begin to kill each other. The Book of Ezekiel further states that those that are not killed in the previous three ways will be killed by plagues, wild animals, and plain old fear. Simply put, they’ll be scared to death. 83% of the invading armies will die in the mountains of Israel in the worst military defeat in history. It will take 7 months to bury the dead (Ezekiel 39:12) and Israel will burn the weapons left behind for 7 years (Ezekiel 39:9). Now I believe this will be during the 7-year peace treaty that the antichrist will reveal himself to the world. So, in conclusion, I believe Russia will come against Israel, but I think we just might see some other prophetic fulfillments before Israel is attacked by them. Remember China has also its eyes on Taiwan.
THE RED HORSEMAN
Now I believe everything happening right now is part of the work of the Red Horseman (Revelation 6:3-4) “When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.”
Yes, a time of wars and threats of war takes peace from the earth and during this time it describes bloodshed and major wars breaking out all over the world, and the very soon World War 3, which could explain the 1974 Dream of an impending invasion of parts of Australia. Once again some believe this only happens once the rapture has happened, but I believe this horse is already released and started the first two world wars and will continue to build momentum. Matthew 24:6 “And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
GETTING OUR HOUSES IN ORDER
Now the purpose of this post is for us to pray that God will send revival before all the impending wars to come. We truly need to be revived and remove all worldly influences that could hinder our spiritual walks. According to Scripture and by my personal experience I am convinced that when God’s people set aside time to pray and fast with a proper Biblical motive-seeking God’s face and not His hand-along with a broken, repentant, and contrite spirit, God will hear from heaven and heal our lives, our families, our churches, our communities, our nation, and world. Prayer and fasting combined with deep hunger for God can bring about revival that will manifest change in the direction of our families, nations, the globe, and the fulfillment of His perfect will. This awesome power can be released through you, as you pray through the enabling of the Holy Spirit. God desires to bring revival to those who truly hunger and thirst for change and more of God. This specific prayer and fasting program are designed to bring an awaken to you and your homes mostly. Ephesians 5:14 “Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”
The goal of that revival we are also praying for is for God’s glory to be revealed to a watching world that needs to know Him within this time of uncertainty. When large numbers or high percentages of people are transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ, spiritual awakening is the result. Families and Communities change. Cities change. And yes, nations can change. Revival however in this case has an opportunity of starting within your homes. Spiritual awakening is what we need in our nations, but revival of God’s people is a spiritual prerequisite. So let us continue to pray and see God bring about His perfect will come to pass. Shalom
